Client: Valero Energy Corporation
Location: Wales, United Kingdom
Fluor performed engineering, procurement and construction of the combined heat and power cogeneration project at Valero's Pembroke Refinery in Wales.
Our scope included design, procurement, construction and commissioning support for the 45-megavolt-amp natural gas-fired combustion turbine generator system to supply power and steam, enhancing the refinery's energy efficiency and operations. The scope also included substations, transformers, electrical and piping tie-ins and a fuel gas pipeline system.
Client: Solvay S.A.
Location: Wrexham, North Wales, United Kingdom
Fluor was selected by Solvay for the engineering, procurement and construction management of the expansion of its high-performance adhesives manufacturing facility. Solvay Composites is a leading supplier of adhesive materials for the commercial aerospace industry. The new facility produces extreme-demand adhesives for use by worldwide airline manufacturers. The site houses the company's European headquarters for research and development for advanced materials.
Client: Tengizchevroil LLP (TCO)
Location: Western Kazakhstan
Tengizchevroil's Future Growth Project-Wellhead Pressure Management Project resulted in a major expansion of oil production at the Tengiz oil field and is of significant importance to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Fluor and JV partners provided engineering, procurement and management services to TCO, with project engineering executed from Fluor’s office in Farnborough, UK, supported by our international engineering centers and our integrated construction site in Tengiz.

Client: Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA)
Location: United Kingdom
Fluor provided decommissioning services for 12 nuclear sites in the United Kingdom. Those 12 sites comprised 10 Magnox and two Research Sites Restoration Limited (RSRL) sites, which together provided nuclear power to the United Kingdom for more than four decades.
The contract made use of our global capabilities, joining the talent of Fluor's specialists in nuclear decommissioning with the strong UK engineering, procurement, construction and maintenance capability of our office in Farnborough.
Client: Greater Gabbard Offshore Winds Ltd.
Location: Thames Estuary, United Kingdom
Fluor provided engineering, procurement and construction services to Greater Gabbard Offshore Winds Limited for the world's largest offshore wind farm, a 500-megawatt offshore wind farm off the Suffolk coast of the United Kingdom.
The project was the first of the UK's two Round Two offshore wind farm facilities to move into the construction phase. We applied our major infrastructure and offshore expertise and resources to help make a meaningful contribution to the UK Government's renewable targets.
