
TxDOT SH 360 Widening Project

Executive Summary
The project widened a 5.4-mile section of SH 360 from three lanes to four lanes each direction by adding an additional north and southbound lane. Bridges at Park Row Drive and Mayfield Road were widened, and the bridge over Abram Street and its entrance and exit ramps were fully rebuilt.
Client's Challenge
To address the growing transportation needs in Arlington, the project would improve mobility and reduce congestion through the SH 360 corridor. Noise walls would also be constructed to mitigate impacts from highway sounds.

Fluor's Solution
The SH 360 Widening Project was executed with Fluor's strategic self-perform platform, which was formed to bring TxDOT a strong partner in the bid-build market and provide a robust platform to support the state's growing infrastructure needs. SH 360 was one of several projects that we constructing for TxDOT, allowing us the opportunity to continue development of our construction resources and knowledge of the bid-build market in Texas.

Conclusion
Construction began in June 2018. Substantial completion was achieved in April 2021, improving mobility in the Arlington area.
