Fluor was awarded the front-end engineering and program management portion of the entire Aromax project. In addition, Fluor's scope included engineering, procurement and construction management for off-plot facilities, which included outside battery limits (OSBL) systems.

We were responsible for the water and wastewater systems on the project, including:

• Seawater/ cooling water

• Water supply

• Nitrogen supply

• Natural gas

• Flare

• Steam

• Treated water

• Chilled water

• Air supply

• Electrical supply

• Tankage

• Sanitary sewer

• Storm water and wastewater

The Aromax® project received Fluor's Hugh Coble Project Excellence Award in 1999. The award is based on outstanding performance in several areas, including safety, value creation and client and community relations.
