Executive Summary
Fluor provided engineering management, procurement and construction management (EPCm) services to build a greenfield installation for Ingevity's new activated carbon facility in Changshu, China. The facility would replace Ingevity's existing facility in Wujiang, China.
Client's Challenge
Ingevity’s Wujiang facility did not have the production capacity to meet current market demand. The new, larger facility would consist of two identical production lines of activated carbon for use in automotive products.
Fluor's Solution
We had previously served as EPCm contractor on Ingevity's A6GB Zhuhai project, the company's largest investment in China. The Changshu project was similar in scope to the plant in Zhuhai, which had been successfully started up two years earlier.
We brought our successful execution approach, health, safety and environmental focus and quality performance to build the new facility in Changshu.
Conclusion
We provided EPCm services for Ingevity to build a new activated carbon production facility that would meet the market requirement.
