Mark Fields is Group President, Strategic Projects for Fluor Corporation, providing strategic advisory support and sponsorship to critical and complex projects and joint ventures.
Prior to assuming his current position, Mark served as Group President, Project Execution responsible for project execution services, engineering and technology, quality, construction, HSE and security. He was previously Group President, Energy & Chemicals, with global oversight for business development and operations in the upstream and downstream oil and gas markets, as well as the chemical and petrochemical industries.
Since joining Fluor in 1981, he has held a variety of roles globally in project and construction management, project controls, estimating, material management and commissioning and start-up management.
Mark has extensive experience in international projects. He led the Tengizchevroil megaproject in Kazakhstan and several major petrochemical projects for Sabic in Saudi Arabia. He has also led major upstream, refining, mining, chemical and petrochemical projects for other clients in Africa, Asia, Canada and the United States.
He has a bachelor's degree in construction management from Purdue University and has attended executive management programs at Thunderbird School of Global Management, Wharton School of Business and INSEAD.
