General Overview

The U.S. Army LOGCAP IV program provides the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), coalition forces, and Federal inter-agency with multi-functional logistical services during contingency operations worldwide.

LOGCAP IV provides logistics support services with the objective to free military units to perform other missions.


LOGCAP IV engages contractors from the private sector to provide a broad range of logistics and support services to U.S. and allied forces during combat, peacekeeping, humanitarian and training operations.

Types of services that can be delivered under the LOGCAP IV include:

  • Supply operations, such as the delivery of food, water, fuel, spare parts, and other items
  • Field operations, such as dining and laundry facilities, housing, sanitation, waste management, postal services, and morale, welfare and recreation activities
  • Other operations, including engineering and construction, support to communication networks, transportation and cargo services, and facilities maintenance and repair
