Joel Strang serves as vice president, chief engineering officer. He is responsible for providing functional oversight for engineering including talent development, practices, standards, systems and initiatives for all of Fluor’s businesses.
He previously served as vice president, quality & continuous performance improvement, responsible for engineering, procurement / supply chain, fabrication, and construction quality.
Since joining Fluor in 1980, Mr. Strang has held a variety of engineering positions. He served as general manager of engineering for Fluor in Houston, Texas. Additional positions include piping engineering global functional leader, piping department manager for Fluor in Houston and engineering manager and piping engineering and design lead providing leadership on projects worldwide, including the United States, Canada, Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan.
Mr. Strang is a board member of Fluor Federal Petroleum Operations.
