Jim Lucas serves Fluor Corporation as senior vice president, tax & treasury, and treasurer. As the chief tax officer, he is responsible for the administration of global tax policies and procedures for the Corporation, its domestic and foreign subsidiaries and reports to the chief financial officer. Mr. Lucas was appointed treasurer of Fluor Corporation in November 2011 and oversees the Corporation’s corporate finance, pension and trust investments, risk and insurance and global cash management functions.
Mr. Lucas joined Fluor in January of 2006 and was hired to rebuild the tax department following the relocation of corporate headquarters from Aliso Viejo, California, to Irving, Texas. Prior to joining Fluor, Mr. Lucas was the chief tax officer for Limited Brands and AMR Corporation, parent company of American Airlines, and also was in private practice for 12 years with the international law firms of Baker Botts L.L.P. and Bryan Cave LLP.
Mr. Lucas received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and his undergraduate degree in accounting from Baylor University. He is also a certified public accountant.
