Abstract

Fluor's Offshore Experience can be coupled with Power expertise and capabilities to capture CO2 from a power plant and liquefy the CO2 where it can be injected into a pressurized pipeline that can transport the fluid safely into deep saline aquifers. There, the CO2 will rest and mineralize to provide an effective means of disposal, and successful sequestration of this greenhouse gas. Fluor has experience with successfully identifying suitable saline aquifers to allow for effective sequestration. The process is well understood and Fluor is capable of performing a cost benefit analysis for Clients as needed.
