Flow Assurance - Non-Newtonian Flow of Hydrate Slurries in the Arctic

Abstract

Fluor offers a flow assurance technique to allow for production of hydrocarbons in a hydrate slurry. In Arctic conditions, cold production techniques will increase the hydrate formations in many pipelines. Pumping systems have long been used for slurry production in the mining industry. Hydrocarbons in a pipeline that have produced hydrates can be processed and transported to commercial markets avoiding hydrate plugs and shut in production.

Client Benefits

Fluor's Flow Assurance - Non-Newtonian Flow of Hydrate Slurries in the Arctic offers Clients better flow line assurance and a better understanding of the hydrate forming regions in the production system.
