Successful execution of complex projects, delivered in a safe and environmentally sound manner, is a top priority at Fluor. Performance is measured in a number of ways. Fluor believes the mark of a successful organization is one in which the goals are focused, well communicated, widely understood, and supported throughout the organization so that everyone contributes to success. Following are the results of Fluor programs that measure performance.
Office and Field Operations (Self-perform and Subcontractors)
Fluor office and field performance ended 2007 with excellent results per 200,000 hours worked. Total hours for 2007 increased by 15 percent; therefore, the 2007 incidence rates represent a significant decrease from 2006.

Office Operations
In 2007, Fluor's office exposure hours increased 33 percent to 36 million hours compared to approximately 27 million hours in 2006. Improvements in health and safety performance rates are shown in the middle chart.

Fluor offices globally experienced no lost workdays (DART-L) and no restricted workdays (DART-R) for more than 36 million hours worked.

Field Operations (Self-perform and Subcontractors)

Exposure hours for self-perform and subcontractors combined increased 18 percent from approximately 280 million hours in 2006 to 329 million hours in 2007. With this 18 percent increase in hours for 2007, the year-end restricted (DART-R) and recordable case (TCIR) incidence rates were 0.08 and 0.31 respectively.

As work hours increased in global field operations, the DART-L cases decreased slightly from 113 in 2006 to 57 in 2007, resulting in an overall DART-L incidence rate of 0.03.
