U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) VPP Recognition
The DOE VPP promotes safety and health excellence through cooperative efforts among labor, management, and government at DOE contractor sites.
VPP Star of Excellence
DOE recognized six Fluor Hanford projects in Richland, Washington, with the Star of Excellence Award for achieving injury rates at least 75 percent better than the industrial average.
VPP Legacy of Stars
The Fluor Hanford Volpentest HAMMER Training & Education Center received DOE's highest VPP recognition–the Legacy of Stars Award, given to sites that have achieved the Star of Excellence Rating for three consecutive years.
VPP Superior Star Award
DOE recognized the Fluor Hanford Safeguards & Security Project with the Superior Star Award for achieving injury rates of at least 50 percent better than the industry average.

One of America's Safest Companies
EHS Today magazine honored Fluor as one of America's safest companies in 2011. Qualifying companies must demonstrate support from management, employee involvement, innovative solutions to safety challenges, and effective training programs.
Safe Partner Award
The Safety Consultation and Training Section of Nevada's Division of Industrial Relations honored Fluor's contractor work at Newmont's TS Power Plant in Dunphy, Nevada, with a Safe Partner Award for creating a safe, healthy work environment for employees. The Safe Partner Award is designed to increase both employer and employee knowledge of the value of safety in the workplace.
Australia's WorkSafe Plan Platinum Certificate of Achievement
Fluor Australia (Western Australia Operations) and Fluor Rail Services both received the WorkSafe Plan Platinum Certificate of Achievement in 2007 from Western Australia WorkSafe, Western Australia's safety regulatory authority. This award recognizes excellent safety and health management in the workplace and continued reduction of work-related injuries and disease in Western Australia.
Chilean Safety Awards
The Chilean National Safety Council (CNSC) honored in 2010 Fluor South America for its focus on the workforce, employee safety and welfare, and community and goods preservation. Fluor was also recognized for achieving one million safe work hours.
Fluor's Gaby project, a Codelco copper mine, received a Safety Recognition Award from Chile's Ministry of Mines (Sernageomin) for its notable HSE program. This Sernageomin safety award is seldom given to construction projects. The Gaby project also received an award from Mutual de Seguridad, the workers compensation company, recognizing the project's HSE commitment and professional work.
RoSPA Order of Distinction 2011
Fluor Limited in the United Kingdom was recognized with the Order of Distinction Award for Occupational Health & Safety by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). In 2011, Fluor Limited was recognized for its twentieth consecutive year of receiving a Gold Award in the Engineering and Construction category.
Puerto Rico Manufacturer Association (PRMA) Award
Fluor Daniel Caribbean was presented the PRMA award for Excellence in Safety for the second year in a row. This award is granted to companies that receive the Distinguished Safety Performance Award for five consecutive years.
ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems Certification
This International Standards Organization (ISO) standard specifies requirements for an effective environmental management system, addressing environmental policy, organization, planning, performance, and auditing and review. Compliance with the standard is verified with a third-party review, expert panel review, or self-declaration. The standard includes a process for accreditation of procedures, giving the organization formal recognition.
