Training & Education
Training and continual learning are essential to sustaining Fluor's success. All office and field employees have a variety of avenues for gaining knowledge and improving skills. Diversity and inclusion topics are incorporated into existing professional development courses, embedding key principles into the company's business practices.
In addition to classroom training, Fluor offers an online diversity and inclusion curriculum that is designed to help employees understand how diversity influences day-to-day business operations, how to work effectively within a diverse environment, and how to create a more inclusive culture within the organization.
Additionally, Fluor's Global Diversity and Inclusion Resource Center provides a central location on the company's intranet where all employees can access content-rich tools and information. Topics range from the company's diversity and inclusion strategy to training and external resources.
Mentoring Circles Program
Fluor's Mentoring Circles Program gives employees broad exposure to leaders in a team-based setting. Mentors are diversity and inclusion "champions" who help the company foster high levels of employee engagement. While involved in the program, participants have opportunities for informal dialogue, mentoring, and learning, with both their mentors and their colleagues.
To date, over 3,000 mentees and 300 mentors in 15 countries have participated. The program continues to expand across the company, and has been recognized by the following organizations:
