Fluor Has Access to More Than 145 Fabrication Yards Worldwide

Fabrication is a strategy Fluor employs as part of its integrated solutions approach to project execution. Fabrication is often used when upgrades to an operating facility are planned and disruptions to operations are not an option. Modules are fabricated offsite and brought to the project site for assembly. Our experienced teams collaborate with our Clients to determine the most effective delivery and project execution approach.

In addition to our five self-perform fabrication yards, Fluor has access to more than 145 major independently operated yards worldwide to provide fabrication solutions for Clients' capital projects. With the knowledge gained by self-performing fabrication, we effectively manage third parties to meet fabrication standards on projects in diverse locations and industries.

Fluor has the capability to employ subcontractor fabrication facilities to develop project specific modules. Upon project completion, the yards are returned to other uses.

Fabrication yard selection depends on required capacity, labor cost and productivity, proximity to project site, tax status, safety performance, vessel access and a variety of other factors.

Fluor understands these issues, assisting Clients in selecting the best solution.
