Fluor has been involved in the design and delivery of communications network infrastructure for almost 80 years serving the global building and services marketplace. Our telecommunications services group was established more than 20 years ago to support the growing communications needs of our clients across multiple industries. As one of our first projects, Fluor, in partnership with US West, designed, constructed and operated one of the first offshore cellular communications systems in the world. The Coastel Communications^TM system served the Gulf of Mexico, providing more than 60,000 square miles of coverage.
