Fluor leads the industry in the design and construction of combustion turbine power plants, serving more than 300 units at 160 plants, including simple-cycle, combined-cycle and cogeneration applications. These plants have a total generating capacity of more than 100,000MW, ranging in size from 30MW to 1,370MW.
Fluor engineers have worked with all major turbine suppliers, including General Electric, Siemens Westinghouse, Alstom, Rolls-Royce, and Solar.
Fluor has a proven track record of executing gas-fired projects ahead of schedule. As a member of the past Duke/Fluor Daniel partnership, Fluor completed work on 14 units generating 10,770MW. These units were completed, on average, 32 days ahead of schedule during the recent peak construction period of the U.S. market.
Fluor's experience is demonstrated by the following selected projects:
Simple-cycle Projects
- The first privately owned and operated power plant in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago - the 225MW InnCOGEN project.
- The 640MW Vermillion Energy Facility in Cayuga, Indiana, was completed ahead of schedule despite the late delivery of equipment. The client was Duke Energy North America.
