Coal-Fired Capabilities
During the last ten years, Fluor has performed engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and commissioning for many coal-fired power plants. Fluor's use of pre-engineered reference plant designs enables superior unit availability, reliability and efficiency. We have strong experience in all aspects of Pulverized Coal (subcritical and supercritical) and Fluidized Bed Combustion plant designs.

Gas and Oil-Fired Capabilities
Fluor is recognized internationally as an industry leader in the design and construction of simple-cycle, combined-cycle and cogeneration units. In recent years, Fluor has built more than 150 gas turbine generation facilities and has achieved a consistent track record of routinely delivering projects ahead of their contractual schedule. We have designed and constructed almost one-third of the new gas turbine projects in the United States, over the last 5 years. We have the reputation of progressing from a plant concept to power grid interconnect faster than our competition.

Plant Betterment/Environmental Compliance
Fluor has the proven experience to help clients quickly achieve environmental compliance in the most cost-effective manner. We have recently installed 26 selective catalytic reduction (SCR) units and built or rebuilt 25 flue gas desulfurization (FGD) units.
