Fluor is a leading provider of design-build and construction management services to Government and commercial clients around the world. We have completed design-build projects for the U.S Department of Defense, U.S. Department of Energy, and other Government agencies.

Landmark projects include:

  • Design-build projects for the rehabilitation of existing, and construction of electricity and water systems throughout Iraq.
  • Restore Iraq Electricity (RIE) Task Order. Provided engineering, procurement, construction management, construction, and commissioning services for this task order under the CETAC I contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The RIE task order consisted of 11 subtasks being performed simultaneously across central Iraq to expeditiously increase power generation capacity.
  • Design-build projects of new electrical and distribution facilities on Ford Island, Hawaii to enhance the overall efficiency, modernization of facilities, and reduction of maintenance costs and congestion on the base, while preserving Ford Island's contribution to the historic character of Pearl Harbor.
  • Ground-based Midcourse Missile Defense Program, Ft. Greely, AK and Shemya Island, the Aleutians. Provided self-perform construction of 12 new facilities and refurbishment of existing on-site buildings.
  • Petronas Towers, Tower 1 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the tallest building in the world, shared with its twin.
  • Naval Housing on Adak Island, Alaska. Design-build contract for 505 units on Aleutian Chain. Houses were prefabricated in Portland, Oregon, and barged to Adak for erection. Winner of the Gold Nugget Award for Most Innovative Housing Product/Concept on 1988.
  • Twenty-four megawatt diesel power plant on Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands. Winner of the Corps of Engineers Pacific Ocean Division 2001 Contractor of the Year.
  • Naval Housing in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Design-build contract for 155 units. Completed in 1997. Winner of the U.S. Navy Industrial Incentive Award.
  • Emergency Schools, Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. Working with International Bridge Corporation, designed and built emergency and secondary schools for about 1,500 students in a design-build-leaseback arrangement, from design to occupancy in five months.
