Aladdin Hotel & Casino
Las Vegas, Nevada

Fluor provided both design and construction services for the 39-story Aladdin Resort and Casino, including the retail shell and core, as well as for the entire project site development. The 34-acre Aladdin Resort, with 4.7 million square feet of facilities, includes the following:

  • 2,600 superior guest rooms and suites
  • A 100,000-square-foot casino, featuring a four-story ceiling and multiple overlooks plus 2,800 slot machines and 87 table games
  • Desert Passage at the Aladdin, a 500,000-square-foot "shopping adventure" featuring retail, dining, entertainment, and nightlife
  • The London Club at the Aladdin, a 30,000-square-foot European-style casino within a casino
  • 100,000 square feet of flexible pre-function and conference space featuring 18 breakout rooms
  • Six restaurants ranging from casual to elegant
  • Two outdoor swimming pools on a sixth-floor terrace

Pfizer Global Development Facility
New London, Connecticut

Fluor provided construction management services for Pfizer's Global Research and Development Headquarters, the largest privately funded biomedical research enterprise in the world. Located on a peninsula at the mouth of New London's Thames River and overlooking Long Island Sound, the facility is the headquarters for Pfizer's cutting-edge medical research programs involving more than 12,000 Pfizer researchers around the world. The facility includes:

  • Three, six-story office buildings comprising 750,000 square feet
  • 555,000 square feet of support facilities, including:
    • 700 seat cafeteria with a personal services mall
    • 200 seat interactive training space
    • Self-contained data center
    • 1,750 car parking structure
    • Day care center
    • Formal welcome center for visitors

Performing Arts Centers

Orange County Performing Arts Center
Orange County, California

Fluor was selected to provide preconstruction and construction management services for this complete destination arts complex, which will result in a 2,000-seat concert hall and a 500-seat multi-purpose theater. The center's design, created by world-renowned architect Cesar Pelli, employs an undulating glass curtainwall for the front elevation and limestone cladding elsewhere. The structure is poured-in-place concrete using acoustical joints throughout to isolate the performance areas.

The 260,000-square-foot complex will accommodate extensive backstage support spaces, such as:

  • Dressing rooms
  • Rehearsal rooms
  • Private practice rooms

The complex will also feature a 5-star restaurant.


Higher Education

American University of Cairo
Cairo, Egypt

Fluor is currently providing program management/construction management services to develop a new campus in Egypt. The project will transform a 260-acre greenfield site into a campus for approximately 5,000 students.

The campus will include:
  • Classrooms
  • Administrative offices
  • A sports arena
  • A theater
  • Dormitories
  • A student center, with a total build-out of 1.8 million square feet
