Our Communities

Support the Community

Throughout our organization, Fluor actively participates in a wide range of global outreach and development activities to address community needs and provide educational opportunities for culturally diverse people.

With regard to educational programs, Fluor invests time and money in students who are interested in the engineering profession and in programs at universities around the world with outstanding engineering schools. We establish relationships with selected universities and award grants, sponsor scholarships, and support student association activities and programs with organizations such as the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). Other sponsorships include support of career centers, student engineering projects, and student/industry linkage programs.

Fluor also supports secondary education through local school partnerships and programs that provide training and materials in mathematics, science, and construction. This includes celebration and leadership of National Engineers Week (NEW) to introduce students to the important and exciting field of engineering.
