Training Overview
Fluor hires the best workers, and we want to keep them. When you join the Fluor team, you’ll get the training and develop the skills you need to be the best in this fast-paced engineering and construction industry. And the more skills you have, the bigger your paycheck grows.

We’ve got work to do, and well trained employees work faster, smarter, and safer. Our training programs are designed to help you improve and move up the ranks.
Helper Training – Everyone has to start somewhere. This program targets new workers and helps them learn entry-level skills all the way up to the journey-level.
Upgrade Training – As we build quality projects that give our clients the best value, we also create new construction methods and technologies. These innovations require our craft professionals to be on the cutting edge of the industry, so we offer training programs to journeyman-level professionals that keep them up-to-date.
Supervisory Development – As you grow professionally at Fluor, you may be given the opportunity to lead crews, crafts or even projects. Real leadership requires real skills. You’ll learn those skills through our Supervisor Development Training for journey-level craft workers, foremen and general foremen on many of our construction and maintenance projects.

STAR Program (Skills Training and Recognition) – This program is an after-hours, voluntary training program that gives workers the knowledge and skills to achieve journey-level status faster than on-the-job experience alone. By participating in STAR, new workers move through seven levels of training and receive wage increases after successfully completing each level.
MTT Program – Fluor's Maintenance Technician Training (MTT) builds troubleshooting skills by educating maintenance professionals in process plant safety and operations. This program provides an overview of a given process, a foundation of technical knowledge and specific training on the complex equipment found in today's industrial environment.
