While Fluor's core business is centered on engineering, procurement, construction, and maintenance, providing service to the communities in which Fluor employees live and work is Fluor's privilege.
Fluor CaresSM is Fluor's global community volunteer program. Over the years, Fluor's volunteer programs have operated under multiple names in different countries. The new name, Fluor Cares, was launched in April 2010, to better reflect Fluor's global volunteer commitment. Fluor Canada is proud to operate its volunteer program under the new Fluor Cares umbrella, continuing the tradition of volunteerism and philanthropy.
Every year, Fluor employees participate in activities ranging from individual volunteer efforts to company-wide initiatives. Events include:
Put the Boots to Hunger
The "Put the Boots to Hunger" campaign supports the Calgary Food Bank to help raise awareness and funds, and includes annual public events in July.
