Disaster and Emergency Response - Services and Capabilities

Fluor has provided rapid response teams to support government agencies during times of national disasters and emergencies for 100 years.

By leveraging Fluor's extensive execution platform and personnel experienced in emergency response operations, Fluor is able to rapidly respond and mobilize within hours of notice.

Fluor can provide the resources needed to accomplish critical activities, including damage and hazard assessment, design, engineering, construction management, and remediation services.

Emergency response services include public and technical assistance, program management, logistics, and temporary housing.

As evidenced after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita hit the Gulf Coast, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) looked to Fluor to respond to the devastation and provide temporary housing to 160,000 displaced Louisiana residents. Fluor mobilized and deployed rapid response teams, consisting of over 500 Fluor personnel, to the disaster area in 72 hours and an additional 1,000 personnel within 30 days.
