Fluor is at the forefront of gas-processing technology, with experience extending to more than 200 gas treating plants worldwide over the past 50 years. Fluor's extensive gas-related project experience includes:
- LNG Liquefaction and LNG Regasification
- Enhanced Oil Recovery
- Sulfur Recovery and Fractionation
- Gas Compression Systems and Transportation
- Marine Terminals
- Gas Treatment
To help clients reduce greenhouse-gas-emissions, Fluor has developed patented carbon-dioxide (CO2) recovery technologies. Fluor's recovery process technologies include:
- Fluor SolventSM Process uses a dry propylene solvent to remove H2S and CO2 from gas streams.
- EconamineSM uses diglycolamine as the aqueous solvent for H2S and CO2 removal from gas streams.
- Improved EconamineSM and Econamine FG PlusSM (EFG+) use aqueous mono-ethanolamine solutions for producing food grade CO2. EFG+ is also used for carbon capture and sequestration projects.
EFG+ provides clients with an energy efficient and cost-effective process for the removal of CO2 from low-pressure, oxygen-containing flue gas streams. The solvent formulation is specially designed to recover CO2 from low oxygen-containing streams that are at near-atmospheric pressure, such as burner flue gas streams. The process offers a post-combustion CO2 capture option and is easy to retrofit to existing facilities. For more than 20 years, EFG+ is the preferred CO2 solution as evidenced by more than 23 licensed plants worldwide.
Fluor is a global leader in CO2 capture and the only technology vendor with long-term commercial operating experience in CO2 recovery from flue gas with a very high oxygen concentration.
Econamine, Improved Econamine, Econamine FG Plus, and Fluor Solvent processes are service marks of Fluor Corporation.
