Garry W. Flowers serves as group president of Global Services for Fluor Corporation, where he has worldwide responsibility for the company's Operations & Maintenance, AMECO (American Equipment Company), TRS (Temporary Staffing), Construction, and Fabrication business lines.
Additionally, Flowers has oversight of Fluor's Health, Safety, and Environmental; Corporate Security; and Industrial Relations functions. In this role, he has global responsibility for all company employee safety and labor-related matters, and for the security of its 41,000 employees, as well as property and information.
From 2009 to 2011, Flowers served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC, the Fluor-led partnership that oversees the management, cleanup, and operations at the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site.
Flowers joined Fluor in 1978 and since then has held numerous leadership positions across the company. Active in a variety of civic and professional organizations, Flowers is a past member of the Executive Council of the U.S. Department of State, Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) and he is a director on the board of the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance.
He is a graduate of Furman University in South Carolina, having earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science.
