Our Materials Engineering group provides technical expertise on: corrosion/materials reviews, equipment fabrication, non-destructive examination (NDE), metallurgy, materials selection, quality assurance/quality control, failure analysis, insulation system designs, coating and painting system selections, and fire damage assessment.

Client Benefits

Our Materials and Welding Engineering group supports Fluor's engineering and new construction projects, and provides consulting services on existing units or as part of revamp projects. Fluor's expertise in materials engineering provides cost-effective and efficient means of reducing fabrication risks through practical specifications and relationships with many proven fabricators. Fluor also participates in Joint Industry Sponsored Research Programs to identify gaps in industry knowledge on a specific materials problem. These initiatives help Fluor provide Clients with optimized and reliable material selections.
